If you’ve been eyeing the iPhone SE (2020), there’s now even more reason to make the dive. You can now get a free pair of Beats Flex headphones with your purchase worth £49.99. The offer is available from both Mobiles.co.uk and its parent brand Carphone Warehouse.
As for who has the better deals? We’d say Mobiles if you’re on a budget. Mobile’s competitive offer gets you 18GB of 5G data on Vodafone for £23 per month and £9.99 upfront. The same offer costs £29 upfront at Carphone Warehouse.
You can also opt for 30GB data from Mobiles for £26 per month with no upfront costs. If you want more data, however, we’d recommend Carphone’s 54GB deal for £30 per month and no upfront cost.
The 4.7in iPhone SE is the smallest and most affordable Apple phone, starting at £399. Macworld Editor David Price found the handset incredibly impressive, awarding it 4.5/5 stars in his review, along with a Macworld Editors Choice badge.
There’s a lot to like about the SE including excellent speeds, graphics, and photography – all thanks to the snappy A13 chip, which was introduced in the iPhone 11. While the SE (2020) isn’t as fast as the 11 – which we were surprised to find in our review – the SE does outperform all iPhone X range phones and the iPhone 8.
You also get a great display. The vivid ‘Retina HD’ LCD panel, though small (and not an OLED) boasts a resolution of 1334×750 with True Tone. The only thing lacking in the iPhone SE is a robust battery life, which we found to be mediocre.
