Days after the iPhone 12 release, we started to hear (isolated) complaints about damage to the new phones’ chassis and camera. A week later, users complained that texts were disappearing. And now we’re hearing about a third problem, this time with the iPhone 12’s screen.
Screen problems: Isolated cases or production errors?
We’ll warn right away that if you think you’re experiencing something similar, you should check the Settings first before rushing to the nearest Apple Store: the effect could be caused by Night Shift or True Tone. You can turn off these functions under Settings > Display & Brightness.
If the display still has a yellow cast, you should contact Apple as soon as possible and try to exchange the device for one with a more accurate screen output.

The good news is that so far, the complaints seem to be isolated cases. But it remains difficult to assess whether or not we’re talking about a consistent production error.
In the summer, many users complained about a green tint on the display, especially in dark environments; this was a software error related to iOS 13.5.
