On Tuesday 17 November Apple released new beta versions of iOS 14.3 and iPad OS 14.3 to registered developers and other beta testers.
The iOS 14 update will include support for the ProRaw format in iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. In addition, support is offered for the new controller that comes with PlayStation 5, as well as the ability to use charity search engine Ecosia as the default search engine.
Various changes are offered in several accompanying apps, for example, there is a new section for pregnancy in the Health app.
As reported earlier, an icon believed to represent the upcoming new AirPods Studio headphones has also made an appearance in the beta. There is also code that seems to relate to the long-rumoured AirTag. These software inclusions could indicate an imminent hardware launch.
The final version of the operating system updates are likely to be released to the public sometime in December.
